John & Ketani Matiza
John is the project manager for a UK based charity 'SMILE INTERNATIONAL' in
Zimbabwe. He and his family returned to their homeland in 2007 and currently live in the country’s capital Harare. The Matizas came over to the UK for John to attend Moorlands Bible College. During this course the family attended PBC and quickly became close friends with many members. Following his M.A. at All Nations College they very bravely decided to return to Zimbabwe to try and help their people group during an ever increasing challenging environment.
SMILE is active in practical ministries all over Zimbabwe which target areas of
life particularly under threat in the deteriorating conditions. They focus on feeding programmes in schools, HIV/AIDs awareness programmes, sponsor a child / widow, borehole installation in schools, and building projects for schools and churches.
PBC have assisted SMILE with containers sent to Harare, filled with food supplies, clean water, toys, bikes and general household goods. PBC maintains close links with the Matiza family and hope to continue to support them and SMILE for many years to come.
