Heather Lawrence
Heather, with her late husband Rob worshipped at PBC whilst Rob studied at Moorlands Bible College. They have 2 daughters Rachel & Sophie. They had always felt a call to work in Mexico and after 2 years seeking guidance, Rob and Heather joined WEC International and went to Costa Rica for language study, followed by 4 years working in Cuernavaca. Rob & Heather then moved to Tepoztlán starting a children’s work and planting a church. They returned to the UK after 8 years for their daughters to complete their education. Rob died suddenly in 2001 at the age of 42 whilst on a mission.
The Mexican work lives on with Heather’s daughter Rachel, along with her Mexican husband Miguel, living back in Tepoztlán and involved with the church.
Heather works part-time for WEC in the Candidates office with new volunteers to WEC. She has felt privileged to lead a short-term mission to Mexico, visiting the Church that she and Rob had planted.
