Building Work & Two Services Reminder
The two morning services run at the following times:
9.15-10.15 and 11.15-12.15
Children & youth work & crèche at both.
Let’s keep praying for the work as we ‘build for the future’.
We praise God that a total of £60,000 (including £10,000 Gift Aid) was raised at our Gift Day on 11th July. This included £100 from the Town Council and £4,000 from the Rank Foundation.
Please do continue to pray for the remainder of the monies required, and the outstanding applications to trusts.
It’s your move
Spare copies of this excellent Scripture Union booklet are available. It’s given to all children moving to Senior School (Year 7). Please see Sarah if you’d like a copy to give to a child who doesn’t attend either Ringwood or Poulner Junior.
Games Consoles up 4 Grabs!
Tim has 3 games consoles and 5 controllers (PSP) available for anyone who would like them, with a donation for them going to the Building Fund.
Bible Reading Notes
Carol Maxwell has kindly offered to take over the organisation of the Bible Reading Notes from Margaret Perrins. We should like to thank Margaret sincerely for her involvement in this ministry over many years.
There is a selection of notes for May/June available in the bookstall stand, which can be purchased. Please put monies for these in the ‘slot’ on the Mission table. After this, as the bookstall has been suspended during the building project, new notes will not be available for purchase on the bookstall. However, there is a large selection of ‘old’ booklets which are still very useful and relevant, which are available free of charge.
Please contact Carol via the office if you would like to place a regular order for Bible Reading Notes
Wots happening with WOTS?
Please pray for the following:
WOTS applied for & have been given funding for a 3 year part-time post and are in the process of advertising & interviewing for a qualified detached youth worker. Please pray for wisdom and energy; this is the 2nd round. (We didn’t appoint the first!)
WOTS need more volunteers for the Bus Team, especially men! WOTS have 2 teams of 4 who go out on a fortnightly basis; we would like to increase this to weekly . Pray for more people willing to volunteer; Andy Baker & another team member hope to visit churches in the area to recruit more; pray for him in this role too!
WOTS funding; if you think this is something you could do (with experience or none) it would be a great help!
The WOTS Team who come from other churches as well as PBC and do a great job.
WOTS Safety for all involved & for the Bus to keep going now it is completely refurbished.
WOTS has lots of interest from other areas, which is exciting! Pray that Ringwood Town Council will be more sympathetic to us and allow us onto Carvers with the Bus, where there is a real need.
All with God’s help & guidance.
Thank you, Fran Bowen.
’Make the Cross Count’

GIFT AID & GIVING
Even though basic tax is paid at 20%, charities like PBC can still claim back 28p from the government for every £1 donated. For those us who pay tax, let’s continue to take advantage of this free money!
If you haven't filled in a Gift Aid form then they are available in the backs of chairs and on the welcome table in the foyer and can be put in the collection or the Treasurer's pigeon hole.
In the current climate the leaders are looking to see where we can cut costs, and as a church we are seeking God as to how He might want us to be playing our part. For those who would like to give the same amount on a regular basis, donating by Standing Order is for many the easiest way. There is no minimum amount. Forms are also available as above and for download from the resources section on this site.
"Each should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Cor. 9:7
