Timothy Keller is the pastor of a church in Manhattan, New York. In his new book he explains why faith in the God of the Bible is both rational and intellectually satisfying. The book is divided into two parts: the first deals with seven commonly voiced objections to Christianity (how could a good God allow suffering? hasn’t science disproved Christianity? isn’t the church responsible for so much injustice?); the second part puts forward seven compelling reasons for belief.
This book will be helpful for believers who wish to think more deeply about why they believe and respond with integrity to the questions and doubts of others. It is also very suitable for sceptics and seekers.
I have found this an inspiring, challenging and very enjoyable read and intend to buy several more copies to give away to my friends!
