Community Outreach Group (COG)

COG collects clothing by continuously having a box in the porch of the church where members know that they can always place unwanted, good quality items of clothing etc. The donations are sorted and stored ready for future distribution. When a request is received, from one of our links in the community, we either source the items from our 'store' or put a specific request in our weekly church bulletin.

Last Christmas, with the help of the church, we made a large collection of groceries, then we boxed them up attractively, for distribution to 30 needy families via a schools link. This year we have supplied clothes to a good number of local families in need, also some boxes of basic foods to families in crisis, and a 'baby starter bag' containing basic baby requisites.
